Due to DRM software concerns, Intel has released a list of games that are broken (e.g., crash or won’t load) on PCs using the company’s latest 12th Gen Core CPUs. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Windows 10/11), Tomb Raider: Shadow of the Tomb Raider (Windows 10) and Mortal Kombat 11 is the eleventh installment in the Mortal Kombat series (Windows 10/11) are among the new and interesting games. Patches for the games in bold will be available in mid-November as part of a Windows OS update, according to Intel.
Intel says:
Certain third-party gaming DRM software may mistakenly identify 12th Generation Intel Core Processors efficient-cores (E-cores) as a different machine. This makes it impossible for games that use DRM software to operate properly. Games may crash or shut down suddenly during startup or gameplay.

- Turn on the computer and go into the BIOS configuration.
- In BIOS, toggle the Legacy Game Compatibility Mode switch to ON (once only).
- Changes to the BIOS settings should be saved and exited.
- Return to the operating system.
- Activate the Keyboard Scroll Lock key.
- The game’s title was influenced by the launch.
