What does FFXIV do better than wow in your opinion?

The battle for the MMO market has finally come to a head, with games like Lineage 2 and Aion fighting it out in China. The game has many unique features that set it apart from other titles, but what does FFXIV do better than WOW?

The “ffxiv vs wow subscribers 2021” is a question that many people ask themselves. The answer to this question largely depends on what type of game you like, but FFXIV does have some features that make it better than WoW.

This isn’t going to be another “I despise wow” piece; there are enough of them already. Because I’ve begun FFXIV and plan to love it more after I complete the MSQ and get to the “harder” stuff, I’m truly interested in your comments. I’ll start with what I like most about Final Fantasy XIV:

  1. The people in the community are fantastic. Sure, there are some poisonous individuals, but my first dungeon adventure was a blast. People were quite helpful in directing me in the right direction. I used to get yelled at for playing tank and not understanding how to go through a dungeon quickly in World of Warcraft.

  2. The mounts are incredible. I was blown away when I watched an automobile change into a jet. There are several fascinating mounts, each of which seems to be a one-of-a-kind creation rather than a recolor.

  3. The world seems to be alive. People may be found almost everywhere, whether you’re on a mission or relaxing at a city pub. The game has a lively and busy vibe about it. People that simply stand someplace and start performing music together struck me as incredibly nice. There was this man with his companion who played the Pirates of the Caribbean main theme, and a throng gathered to cheer them on.

  4. I like the flexibility in terms of academics and employment. Do you dislike your present class? Simply switch. There’s no need to start again with a fresh character. But I haven’t used this feature yet; I simply think it’s nice to have the choice.

What is it about Final Fantasy XIV that I dislike?

  1. Although this is a very subjective opinion, I do not love the game’s artstyle or aesthetics. I’m playing on high, and the game still seems like a PS2 game to me.

  2. Questing takes a long time, at least for the first several hours. Initially, it is essentially a “go chat to that person” simulator. Fighting is also tedious; I’ve heard that it improves later in the game, but right now all I’m doing is pressing 1 to have the ability I have on 2 hit harder. Repeat.

  3. Walls that are not visible. Just let me leap from a balcony if that’s what I want to do. Or will you allow me to take a shortcut by leaping over the stairwell?

  4. Zones that are small. There are a lot of loading screens in the globe. Sure, they just last a fraction of a second, but it takes away from my immersion when a large metropolis is broken into 2-4 little zones separated by loading screens.

  5. Minor quibble, but I don’t enjoy not being able to start playing as a samurai, something I used to despise in WoW until death knights were introduced.

For the time being, these are my ideas; I am unable to remark on the most significant aspect of the game, which is the endgame, in my opinion. In FF, I haven’t gone that far yet. Also, please refrain from making any remarks about the blizzards picture. I’m aware of the sexual harassment issue, but I’d want to keep this conversation focused on what both games have to offer or what one game accomplishes better than the other. I’m also not picking sides since we all profit from the mmo genre’s fierce rivalry.
